Refunds

Want a refund? Done.

No fights, no forms, no “mind sharing why?”

Pre-orders (right now, before launch)

You can have your £4.99 back any time before the app ships, for any reason or no reason. The fastest way:

  • Email aaron@greenroot.app with the address you paid from. I refund within 24 hours. Refunds usually clear in your account in 5-10 working days, depending on your bank.

I keep the Stripe processing fee (about 20p plus 1.5%) on the original charge - that’s gone the moment you paid and Stripe doesn’t return it to me on a refund. So the cost of changing your mind is on me, not you. You get the full £4.99 back.

If I don’t ship

If validation fails or I bail on the build, I refund every pre-order automatically. You don’t need to ask. The promise is binary: I ship and you have the app for life, or I refund the lot and you get your money back without lifting a finger.

After launch

Once Greenroot ships in the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy. You request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem flow. UK customers also have rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If Apple ever declines a refund you think is reasonable, email me and I’ll sort something out directly — the £14.99 isn’t worth more than my reputation.

What you keep, either way

Greenroot stores nothing on a server. There is no account to delete, no “data lock-in” that survives a refund. If you change your mind, you walk away clean.
