FAQ

Will it really stay one-time forever? +

Yes. The whole reason this exists is that subscriptions in this category are broken. You buy v1 once. Future big updates will be paid upgrades you can opt into - never auto-renewing, never required. If I ever change that, you keep the original price.

Why £14.99? +

What if you don't actually ship? +

When does it launch? +

Target [TARGET MONTH]. The build is 8 weeks once validation hits its target. I’ll email you the day early access opens and again the day the App Store listing goes public.

What about plant identification? +

PictureThis, PlantNet, and iNaturalist are all free or near-free and identify plants better than I could. Use them once when you bring a plant home. Then use Greenroot to keep it alive. I'm not trying to be a worse version of an app you already have.

Where is my data stored? +

On your phone. iCloud keeps it in sync between your iPhone and iPad - that part is encrypted by Apple. I don’t run a server. I don’t have your email tied to your data. I don’t track anything you tap inside the app. There’s nothing for me to sell.

What if I want a feature that's not in v1? +

Tell me. After you sign up I send a 90-second survey, and the open-text answers shape v1.1. The roadmap stays public.

Is there an Android version? +

Not in v1. iPhone only. The widgets, weather alerts, and iCloud sync that make Greenroot useful are all built specifically for Apple. Rebuilding them on Android would be another 8-week project. If 2,000+ people on the waitlist ask for Android, I’ll consider it.
